Obama What Crisis?

Published by glequericac under Politics Edit This

ObamaWhile many people are having problems with their budgets, the big O! not not Oprah but Obama it’s spending like never and even more than W (not that I’m a fan of George Bush but I’m amazed about his hypocrisy because he said that he was going to spent less than his predecessor) It’s being reported that Obama broke the record for any first year President by spending US$3.5 Trillion in his first year and yes that’s only in personal expenses while W. spent 1.8 Million which makes me wonder if Obama has really felt the economical crisis. With that money spent there could be more jobs and more educational institutions which all of these expenses make me wonder if Obama it’s related to Gerald Ford?

Portraits of Power Alvaro Uribe in the New Yorker

Published by glequericac under Politics, photos Edit This

Uribe New Yorker Photo

In the most recent edition of the New Yorker, the President of Colombia Alvaro Uribe Velez was figured in the newest edition of Portraits of Power. The photograph Platoon said that Alvaro Uribe is a very reserved guy who don’t feel comfortable posing to the cameras and he was rather a shy guy opposite to the Head of State persona he shows to the media. It’s quite interesting Platoon commentary because he is not the only one to think that about Uribe where many people question his nature as a figure of power.

Mayor Osby Davis Says Gays are Committing Sin

Published by glequericac under Politics Edit This

Osby VallejoHow do you call an ignorant black man? It’s simple according to Tupac Shakur an ignorant black man is a nigga and that is what the Mayor from Vallejo, California Mister Osby Davis is a simple nigga by the remarks he say about the LGTB community; it’s extremely ignorant that a man of Osby age says something like that because he lived the days of the Civil Right Movement where all black men where treated wrongly by the color of their skin and now he’s applying the same judgment of prejudice that was saw half of century ago but instead of the color of the skin this ignorant man choose to attack by the way a man or a woman express their love, that’s bias on the maximum potency coming from a man who hasn’t done anything; much similar as the Governator who are just jokes in politics. That’s the same reason people should start paying attention to who they vote for because when you have a bigot in the office there are going to be problems to take him or her out of the electoral job.

By the way the “Mayor” offered some vague apologize and said that he’s not going to speak about his faith again but the damage is already done and we Mister Osby we know what kind of looser who you are. Check the video here .

Obama En Asia

Published by glequericac under Culture, Politics Edit This

Instituto Colombiano De Bienestar Familiar To Contest Lesbian Adoption

Published by glequericac under Politics Edit This

lesbiansIn a country filled with contradictions in the law system as is Colombia is amazing that gay and lesbian unions are accepted, it’s another story when they law speak about adoption as well the public in general. To only way to know a country is by living in it and even with all the progression in terms of law it is a difficult place to live because unless you have money you will have certain stability in your life otherwise is going to be another story.

It’s difficult to describe Colombia because in many ways the laws are made in base of emulation of the European and American laws but applying them in the practice is another story. One of the recent cases in the country relies on a mother who has a daughter who was conceived via in-vitro fertilization and the mother is a lesbian who has been in a steady relationship over the past 5 years. She went to the Antioquia ICBF (Colombian Institute of Family Welfare by the abbreviation in English)  only to found that the Headmistress of the institution will contest the rule of the First Tribunal of Rio Negro to avoid the rule in favor of the couple.

The headmistress Elvira Forero argue that a family is only constituted by a mother, father and their children not by a same sex couple; even so if the worse situation happens the victim will be the child of the couple because she won’t be able to have the social benefits from her adopting mother and even so the headmistress argue that lgtb couples can’t adopt because of the Infancy and Adolescence law that explicitly says about how a family should be constituted and what privileges they have as a “conventional family”. So in one point of the balance there are some social progress in the country but at the end they are hollow because there is not welfare for anyone or social security for a couple that wants to give a safe home to a child.

Chavez: People Should Go to The Restroom With Flashlights!

Published by glequericac under Politics Edit This

ChavezDouchebag President of Venezuela exposed his latest idea to save energy (after he depleted the funds of the Nation entirely) that people should go if they want to go to the bathroom in the early morning with a flashlight and he even said that everyone should have one flashlight in their night-table just in case they want to go to the bathroom.  He even so far to state that business should generate their electricity and that the government is going to track people how spend too much energy.

Sure like if you have one but there are no words to say how much you have drowned a country in the shit you have created.

If you are Gay and Over 45 You Can’t Adopt in Ukraine

Elton JohnWith all the political and social progress in Europe maybe Ukraine didn’t noticed that in almost the rest of the countries of Europe gay and lesbian can adopt but it seems Ukraine is one of the few exception because if you are gay and/or single and above 45 years old you can’t adopt so ask that to Sir Elton John who wanted to adopt an Ukrainian 2 years old boy named Levi who is HIV positive, which the singer met in a visit to the country a few months ago and was enchanted with the little champion.

But, Ukraine authorities as soon knew that Elton is a gay man decided to negate the adoption process because he is gay, above 45 and in Ukraine civil unions between to people of the same sex aren’t recognized at all thus by consequence they can’t adopt or have the same privileges they have in countries such as United Kingdom or the Netherlands and even an undeveloped country as Colombia in South America recognize same civil unions (under certain jurisdiction) so I guess at the end the Ukrainian Officers decided that it was better for an HIV positive boy to live and die in an orphanage rather to be place with a loving couple who could made his last years more easy and joyful only because the people that wanted to adopted him were two men. Shame on you Ukraine!.

Equator Calls Colombia To Start Dialogue

Published by glequericac under Politics Edit This

Fander FalconiEquator is going to open dialogues with Colombia after one year and a half when the Equatorian Government broke relations with La Casa de Nariño after the incident where the Colombian army invaded Equator’s soil to capture a chief of the Colombian Guerrilla; the opening to the start the dialogues was given by Counselor Fander Falconi.

According to Falconi the dialogues will be taken on September 22 of 2009 in the context of the next assembly of the United Nations, where the points that are going to be taken are going to be the commons and differences of both countries regarding political divergences and economic support but Falconi didn’t gave specific details about further topics that are going to be discussed.

The situation started after Colombia went to Equator soil in the border between the two countries to destroy a F.A.R.C. setting that was in Equator due by those days Equator was a sanctuary to the terrorist group due the relations between Equator’s president Rafael Correa and Hugo Chavez President of Venezuela who is a supporter of the terrorist group. During the invasion from Colombia one of the leaders of the F.A.R.C. “Raul Reyes” was killed by the Colombian army but the mobilization wasn’t authorized at the moment and that was the reason Equator broke relations with Colombia, but after one year and 6 months it seems that everything is starting to cool down.

Nutcase Republican Congressman it’s again rambling against the Democrats and Obama, again citing that the Democrats are Fascist and want to turn the United States in a Totalitarian Government this time he said to the Online Athens Newspaper”He has the three things that are necessary to establish an authoritarian government,” Broun said. “And so we need to be ever-vigilant, because freedom is precious.”

As he did when comparing Obama to Hitler and the Soviets last year, Broun cited a speech Obama gave in Colorado during the campaign last July calling for “a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded” as the military.

Get a life Paul we know that you are piss off because a black Democrat won and not a sexy Republican momma as Palin.

Jayne Fonda to Boycott the Toronto Film Festival

Jayne Fonda

Hasbeens Jane Fonda, Eve Ensler and Danny Glover will boycott the Toronto International Film Festival due to a program honoring Tel Aviv’s 100th anniversary, called City to City.

The program aims to spotlight 10 Israeli films, yet activists have signed their name to a letter aimed at festival officials claiming that Tel Aviv was built on violence, ignoring the “suffering of thousands of former residents and descendants” as countless Palestinian villages were sacrificed.

But, not everyone agrees with this stance!

Oscar-winning documentarian, Rabbi Marvin Hier believes this act is “an attack on the heart and soul of Israel.”

He says:

“People who support letters like this are people who do not support a two-state solution. By calling into question the legitimacy of Tel Aviv, they are supporting a one-state solution, which means the destruction of the State of Israel. I applaud the organizers of the festival for celebrating on the 100th anniversary of Tel Aviv. If every city in the Middle East would be as culturally diverse, as open to freedom of expression as Tel Aviv is, then peace would long have come to the Middle East.”

Chavez Planning to Go to the Premier of Oliver Stone Documentary

I have one title for this photo Stoney Chavez because I can’t see other reasonable explanation for this dynamic duo to get along; so, maybe Oliver Stone is trying to get publicity by associating to this chimpanzee who is the so called Fail Loon Meme Frog Perez Hilton President of Venezuela because his career is on decline but now the situation gets interesting Chavez wants to go to the premier because he’s the star of the ass licking documentary, (yep this smells like personal interest) which is about the rise of the leftist movements in Latin America and Chavez well Chavez is the lead.

Chavez said that his cabinent is valuating the time to go on a world tour that will go from Iran to Russia… yeah like if in Russia they really want you, you are just the guy who buy their second and third hand scrap for thousands of dollars and then you start saying that you are going to war with the weapons the Russians consider obsolete. This movie looks more like a spoof of National Lampoon not a freaking documentary.

Arnold Schwarzenegger Emotional Tribute to Ted Kennedy

California Governor and husband to Maria Kennedy Shriver Arnold Schwarzenegger paid a tribute to late U.S. Senator Edward “Ted” Kennedy, who died on Tuesday. Ted, a Democrat, the last brother to be alive of the late U.S. President John F. Kennedy died at age of 77 after an arduous battle with brain cancer.

Schwarzenegger was devastated when he knew the news about Ted passing away citing him as “the rock of the Kennedy family whose legacy will live on”. In a more complete statement the Governor said “Maria and I are immensely saddened by the passing of Uncle Teddy. He was known to the world as the Lion of the Senate and a champion of social justice”.

“Most importantly, he was the rock of our family: a loving husband, father, brother and uncle. He was a man of great faith and character. Teddy inspired our country through his dedication to health care reform, his commitment to social justice, and his devotion to a life of public service.
“I have personally benefited and grown from his experience and advice, and I know countless others have as well. Teddy taught us all that public service isn’t a hobby or even an occupation, but a way of life and his legacy will live on.”

This is the second death in the Kennedy Family, a few days ago Maria’s mother passed  away.
