Hysterical Blindness – Heroes Episode Recap

Bryan FullerHysterical Blindness – Heroes Episode Recap

At least the show is returning to a more action oriented plot like the first season and not a different set of stories that didn’t had anything in common like Season 2 and part of Season 3 but so far Season 4 had been good by one simple reason Bryan Fuller is on the staff again… except he’s not going to be lasting for long because he’s going to leave the show after a couple of the fist episodes of Season 4 but Bryan has proven to be the key of the good stories of the show.

Hysterical Blindness was a decent episode but not one that reveals something juicy or extraordinary about the characters. There was more exploration about the characters background and what is going to be about them; the incursion of a deaf character is quite fascinating specially when the character pays an homage to Marvel super heroine Dazzler as both have sound based abilities.

The idea of exploring Claire’s sexuality I rather say it’s just a really low punch to attract more male viewers to the series because according to the Nielsen Ratings the show had been dropping scores in audience since the beginning of the season. Probably if the producers are going to explore more about the sexuality of a character at least they should take their time to set the story more properly instead of rushing the events (and not copying Buffy The Vampire Slayer where Willow has her girlfriend killed at the end of the season).

The score I give to this episode are 4.0 stars over 5; it was ok, it wasn’t average at least it was interesting because there was more insight about some of the main characters like Peter’s abilities, Angela’s motherly side, Sylar more gentle side and the Sullivan Bros ringleader Samuel Sullivan intentions regarding the unification of the post human society.
