Pirates of the 21st Century (The Rule of Power)
A new piece of information had been given by the New York times about the hostage situation in the Maersk Line, is not something regarding the safetyness of the crew but rather towards the four pirates who took the container ship. According to the New York Times the pirates aren’t moved by anything altruistic except of becoming more powerful in an economic level.
But how four men in a lifeboat took a container ship? I don’t know but maybe this situation is a cry for help that future ships that go to the Gulf Area as well as other areas of Asia that pirates had been spotted the crew should be armed in case of any inconvenience as security in a container and other ships (i.e. commercials as cruise ships) are in the hands of the crew and the crew needs to be alert of any situation as well they should be trained in case of new emergencies and life treating situations like this one. But that is just my humble opinion.
