Actor Reviews: Zachary Quinto
The tall and charming Pennsylvanian actor Zachary Quinto has taken the acting world by storm after his hit debut as the “eating brain” villain Sylar in the hit T.V. shows Heroes, and now he is going to play Spock in the new adaptation of Star Trek by J.J. Abrahams, which by the way is going to be Zachary film debut.
As every actor Zachary had humble beginnings in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he was a member of the Civic Light Opera mini stars when he was a child, his youth was relatively normal as many American teenagers, going to school and doing his favorite activities, Zach graduated from the Central Catholic High School and in 1999 he graduated from the drama school of Carnegie Mellon University.
As soon Zach graduated from Carnegie Mellon, he went to California to pursue his ambitions as every young actor, his first years in Cali were quite difficult, he only landed a few spare guest appearances during his first stints, The Others (the sci-fi short lived series) was his first appearance, then it followed a few more with other notable series as Lizzie McGuire, Off Center, CSI and others, basically most of them were forgettable roles to the audience until his appearance in FOX smash hit 24 as computer geek Adam Kaufman where the public met Zach at a regular basis.
After his work in 24, Zachary landed other guest spots until he was cast as a regular in Tori Spelling failed “reality” sitcom So Notorious where Zach got his break as Tori’s best gay friend forever Sasan, but So Notorious didn’t go through a second season even with all the critical acclaim it had and the positive reaction of the public, the show wasn’t good enough and it was ended on May of that year (2006), but success wasn’t that far away that same year he joined as the serial killer Sylar in the television show Heroes, and that was the moment he gained national attention by playing the famous anti-hero.
And now as 2008 he is currently filming the scenes for the Star Trek new movie where is going to play young Spock, (is interesting to note the resemblance of Zachary and Leonard Nimoy, they look so similar with the prosthetic makeup) along with new comer Chris Pine as young captain James Tiberius Kirk; there is no much information around the net about the new Star Trek because of the heavy security that rounded the filming process.
As a conclusion we have to wait what time and hard work brings to Zach, because he surely has a promising future in the acting world, as every of his performances captivates the audiences and his fans would likely to see more about this brilliant actor.
