Marvel Zombies 3: When Zombies Invade 616

Not as good as the first’s installments in terms of drawing, but it promise to be a good conclusion to the Zombies Saga. The idea of a virus that can turns anyone into a zombie, had been used several times but we have to admit that with Marvel Zombies is a cool concept and a concept that had been referenced in other Marvel works such as the newly NYX, which Bobby Soul a.k.a. Felon says something about a plague that came from space and can turn people into zombies, I don’t think we are going to see a crossover, but we can take that comment as a meta reference joke.

Fanatics of the Zombie Saga had complained that the third installment lacks of gore and blood that was the main characteristic of the first two part of the saga, but nobody has said that Zombies 3 is more action oriented rather than gore and horror, and that is has several reference to horror cinema; according to Wikipedia the covers are going to be based on movie posters, the first one who is already on the market shows machine man in a Ash pose similar as the Army of Darkness poster and the list goes on.

In the first issue, we are introduced to Florida Imitative team which is composed by Siege, Jennifer Kale, Wundarr and the Conquistador which they discover a strange anomaly in Citrus Ville, Florida where it’s said that a verge on every dimension is connected in the swamps of that city, for the surprise of the team they discover some zombies, and a zombie movie they are the first to perish even with all their powers, except for Wundarr and Jennifer Kale who are the last ones to survive.

I am not going to say too much because I will ruin the first issue by saying major spoilers, but I guess it’s worth the reading, I can’t complain the lack of gore because the script so far so now is really good, and if you want to know how the zombie saga possibly ends, this is a must reading material.
