Tim And Eric Awesome Show, Great Job (Really that Great?)
Lately on the cartoon network adult block, we have seen plenty of live action comedy oriented to a teen focus group or at least to an adult group who loves nonsensical jokes with a lot of inconsequential between one gag and another. There plenty of examples we can follow, such as Saul of the Mole Man or Fat Guy in the Internet but we are not going to focus on those show, our subject of analysis is the self congratulatory show named Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job.
The show itself is quite interesting, and it has a large repertoire of guest stars comedians such as John C. Reilly, Zach Galifianiakis, Michael Cera and many others. Probably the negative factor critics aim at the show, is the title, many show titles never express such an auto congratulatory expression, neither Mr. Show and that is probably something critics don’t like because they probably think it’s better to be humble when naming your show, and if the show doesn’t work then you will be the joke of the industry by having too much ego to put the awesome word and great job in the title.
In reality, I don’t like too much this show if I have to recommend it I would say no, I never saw the Tom Goes to Mayor to compare, but this show for me is a little bit boring, the nonsensical gags and the off time continuity jokes tend to exasperate me, but I guess the show have found some cult following because is going to his 3 season this November, so probably there is someone who really likes this show… or maybe cartoon network is running out of ideas.

If it’s anything like Tom Goes to the Mayor, I don’t think I’ll be impressed. Randomness can only be funny for so long.
