Instituto Colombiano De Bienestar Familiar To Contest Lesbian Adoption
In a country filled with contradictions in the law system as is Colombia is amazing that gay and lesbian unions are accepted, it’s another story when they law speak about adoption as well the public in general. To only way to know a country is by living in it and even with all the progression in terms of law it is a difficult place to live because unless you have money you will have certain stability in your life otherwise is going to be another story.
It’s difficult to describe Colombia because in many ways the laws are made in base of emulation of the European and American laws but applying them in the practice is another story. One of the recent cases in the country relies on a mother who has a daughter who was conceived via in-vitro fertilization and the mother is a lesbian who has been in a steady relationship over the past 5 years. She went to the Antioquia ICBF (Colombian Institute of Family Welfare by the abbreviation in English) only to found that the Headmistress of the institution will contest the rule of the First Tribunal of Rio Negro to avoid the rule in favor of the couple.
The headmistress Elvira Forero argue that a family is only constituted by a mother, father and their children not by a same sex couple; even so if the worse situation happens the victim will be the child of the couple because she won’t be able to have the social benefits from her adopting mother and even so the headmistress argue that lgtb couples can’t adopt because of the Infancy and Adolescence law that explicitly says about how a family should be constituted and what privileges they have as a “conventional family”. So in one point of the balance there are some social progress in the country but at the end they are hollow because there is not welfare for anyone or social security for a couple that wants to give a safe home to a child.

According to Sharon that’s how Susan Boyle looks like when she appeared on Opie and Anthony Show; I have to say that I love Sharon Osbourne because she is sincere but this time she crossed the line by saying that Susan looks like an Arsehole, specially that Sharon was similar to Susan before loosing the weight due the gastric bypass and several plastic surgery that took away Sharon’s donkey look and made her more “attractive”.
After his homophobic and xenophobic speech Glaad isn’t buying Chris Jericho apology because at the end he was incentive and worn. I’m not going to say he was something about religion but it was something about his personal beliefs because nobody is going to make fun of something sensitive about the personal orientation or the heritage of some people unless you are a skinhead and maybe Jericho is that at the end a plain skinhead who don’t mind offending anyone.
No wonder that after the Writers Strike of 2008, one of the most promising shows on television started to suffer a slow decay on his ratings because the network started to save money in order to produce Heroes (a show that basically survives because of the CGI) and now after 3 seasons the show it’s starting to suffer the Charmed Effect by cutting the budget that once made the show amazing and also cast members now it was the time of Adrian Pasdar to say goodbye to the show and soon in my opinion Ali Larter and Sendhil Rammamurthy will have the same fate as Adrian Pasdar because their characters are already burned out, so at the end the show will consist of seven cast members which making an interesting story about the characters they play will be difficult.
Check out this note, is like a soap opera:
Spanish born Colombian actor Pacheco health is going downhill after a treatment he received last month after he suffered a pneumonia attack. His health had a major setback after he was again hospitalized the past Saturday. Get well Pacheco.
The reboot of Star Trek won the Best Film Award of the Hollywood Film Festival, for the best movie of 2009 (yeah the movie rules and I’m not a Trekkie) plus Zachary Quinto was awarded with the Spotlight Award 2009 (given by the femme fatale and heroine of Lost Michelle Monaghan).
According to the Wrap, NBC is just one step to give Chuck a few new episodes and that by consequence all the fans we can have our favorite geek/spy back on the small screen. According to the Wrap NCB plans to bring Chuck back in January of 2010.
This is way too much for Jewish humor or humor in general, maybe the ratings of Curb are dropping and the executives are hiding that fact but one thing is for sure is that Larry pulled a Peter Griffin.
Genre is not an issue of body but an issue of mind and influenced by roles in a society. A man is not going to be less of a man if he will express some emotions or say I love you, you are what you are but also society can be young an immature to accept more than the previously established conventionalism maybe as a society we have a long way to go to understand that the world is not black and white but it have all the specters of color imaginable. Maybe with Chaz Bono we have learned a few new things about the reassignment process that is not easy on a personal and social level but feeling good with your outside as you are in your insides can make you overcome with any challenge in life.
The last issue of the “filler” arc of Not Forgotten; nothing really happened in this arc and it was only a filler story before Necrosha began. The story itself don’t give too much to the myths of the X-Force but it’s rather an interesting exploration about Laura Kinney (X-23) and that she is more than the perfect soldier.
This is probably one of the best issues of X-Factor ever but at the same time is one of those issues that leave more questions than answers but at least many of those questions regarding the continuity of the title and Marvel in General.
Even if today episode didn’t showed too much about anything I have to say I love it because it goes with the flow of the arc and even so far I guess what is going to be happening in the next episode.
Poor Sarah Michelle Gellar, one of the best actresses of our generation and her career ended after Scooby Doo 2. At least somethings in her life aren’t that bad, her daughter Charlotte Prinze was born in September and basically that is the good news on the other hand her career has been on the professional purgatory for over a decade now and it seems that she can’t be detached from the role of Buffy Summers (Wow not even Kelsey Grammer is attached to Frasier and he played the character for ten years) as well her hubby Freddy Prinze Jr. who hasn’t acted in quite a while.
